Dr. Ben Parker spends lots of time treating injured birds. Sometimes he has to have the birds transported to the Raptor Center in Charleston, and he's looking for volunteers to help him do this.
The injured birds are secured in transportation containers, which fit in most cars. The people from the Raptor Center usually will meet you halfway. (Of course, you could take the bird all the way to Charleston and spend the day sightseeing.) If you think you might be interested in volunteering your time to transport the birds, call Ashley Fallis at Dr. Parker's office at 843-757-1112 and ask to be put on the list.
